A Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) without a well thought out, structured software testing approach is prone to failure. In today’s development life cycle, software testing has therefore been recognized as playing a major part in the success of the product under development by ensuring quality goals, both functional and non-functional, are met. ISTQB Certified Tester is the most widespread qualification scheme in the world, and the syllabi contents and glossary have become the de facto industry reference for the software testing profession.

This ISTQB Foundation training aims to immerse you in the world of software testing. You will discover the importance of testing and get a detailed view of test techniques and processes.

It ensures that you are equipped to deal with test terminology and allows you to acquire a common, internationally accepted vocabulary. At the end of this training course, you will be prepared for the exam.

  • International recognition of acquired competencies and skills
  • ISTQB certification can provide a competitive advantage for companies, promising a higher level of reliability of the applications being developed due to efficient and cost effective testing practices derived from the ISTQB competencies
  • Consulting companies with certified staff can offer higher-level services to customers, increasing revenues and brand value

After the training you will be able to:

  • use a common language for efficient and effective communication with other testers and project stakeholders.
  • understand established testing concepts, the fundamental test process, test approaches, and principles to support test objectives.
  • design and prioritize tests by using established techniques; analyze both functional and non-functional specifications (such as performance and usability) at all test levels for systems with a low to medium level of complexity.
  • execute tests according to agreed test plans, and analyze and report on the results of tests.
  • write clear and understandable incident reports.
  • effectively participate in reviews of small to medium-sized projects.
  • be familiar with different types of testing tools and their uses; assist in the selection and implementation process.
